Choosing great photos for your Hub profile: essential tips

Quality photos are crucial for your Hub profile to stand out. In this article, we are providing several essential tips for choosing and uploading great images to Mereka Connect.  

Please note that the photo criterium is one of the most common reasons why the Mereka Connect team requests Hubs to reconsider their profile page. We kindly ask you to review the tips below very carefully as quality photos help our team market your Hub and receive more bookings. 

Hub Profile: Logo

Please upload your business/organization logo as the main profile image of your Hub. The ideal ratio is 1:1 (square image). Remember that it will be displayed in a circle shape on your profile page, so do leave enough room between the subject of the image and the edges to avoid unappealing cropping (you'd be able to adjust it in the upload window of the Hub onboarding form).

✅ Dos: Clear logo with a 1:1 ratio 

❌ Don’ts: 

• Hub owner's portrait photo

• Team photo

• Blurry logo with an illegible business/organization name 

Hub Profile: Cover Photo

Although there are no strict guidelines on the content of your Hub's cover photo, we recommend you upload either a picture of your space or team members. Alternatively, you can upload an abstract image (e.g. solid color). Think of it as your Facebook or LinkedIn profile background. 

The format of the cover photo should follow a 4:1 ratio (landscape header). You'd be able to crop it in the Hub onboarding form.

✅ Dos: Clear cover photo representing your Hub with a 4:1 ratio 

❌ Don’ts: Blurry/unclear cover photo with unappealing cropping and irrelevant content

Hub Gallery Photos

Uploading at least 3-5 gallery photos would make your Hub profile look even more engaging! These images may include:

• Your Hub's amenities and facilities

• Team members

• Footage of your services (Experiences/Spaces)

Please note that you may upload the photos of various ratios (both portrait and landscape). The Hub gallery would be built based on the original images’ ratios, so the more diverse they are the better! Do keep in mind that your gallery photos should also be high quality and shouldn't have text on them (we do not encourage using posters).

✅ Dos: at least 3-5 high quality photos of diverse ratios with no text

❌ Don’ts: 

• Only 1 low-quality image

• Blurry/unclear images

• Images with text on them / posters
