Hubs are the foundation of Mereka Connect - find out who can be a Hub and what a Hub does.
Hubs are the very backbone of Mereka Connect, so if you’re curious about what a Hub does or wondering whether your organization or business can be considered a Hub, you’ve come to the right place!
A Hub is essentially any organization that is in the business of offering valuable resources or expertise with the potential to foster community spirit, cultivate new ideas, and drive the future of innovation.
Taking into consideration constantly changing market dynamics and the incredible pace at which technology is developing, Mereka Connect is a conducive environment for Hubs of various types to learn how to adapt to this digital era and begin establishing themselves within a larger community.
Let’s play a quick game:
Does your business offer Experiences and/or Spaces to customers?
Does your business wish to scale and attract new audiences?
Are you looking for opportunities to network and collaborate with peers within your industry and beyond?
Are there underutilized or latent resources sitting idle in your space?
Do you want to spread more awareness about the services your business offers?
Would you like to create more impact in your community by sharing your resources and expertise?
Do you feel that you need more tools and support needed to scale?
If you answered yes to at least two or more of the above questions, you are most likely a Hub! For further information, below is a non-exhaustive list of Hub types present on Mereka Connect:
Innovation & startup centers
Education institutions (universities, polytechnics, colleges)
NGOs and NPOs
Alternative education centers (STEAM education centers, skills centers, tuition centers)
Engineering & manufacturing centers
Creative spaces & makerspaces
Health & wellbeing centers
Studios (art studios, theater studios, dance studios)
If your type of Hub isn’t listed but you identified with the questions above, we encourage you to become a Hub on Mereka Connect anyway! Equipped with the right tools and support, we strongly believe that there is always potential to be unleashed and greater heights to be reached. As long as you align with our core values of resource and knowledge sharing, you are well on your way to becoming a Hub.
