In this article, you will learn about the types of coupons supported by Mereka Connect and the process for requesting and generating coupons.

Coupons are a great way to incentivize users to book your services - at the end of the day, who doesn't like a good old discount? To make your users happy, you can always utilize the Mereka Connect features and offer them two types of coupons: Hub Coupons and Mereka Coupons.

Hub Coupons

A Hub Coupon refers to any discount or voucher code you as a Hub owner would like to provide for your users. For instance, if you conduct a giveaway via your social media channels and would like to offer a discount for several lucky winners, you can use a Hub Coupon. This type of coupon cannot be reimbursed by the Mereka Connect team; your Hub would have to absorb the associated costs.  

To receive a Hub Coupon, you have to request for the Mereka Connect team's assistance as all coupon codes are generated via our payment gateway Stripe. Please contact us via [email protected] and indicate in your message:

  • The title of the service you'd like to provide a discount for

  • The number of codes you need to generate

  • Whether you require one single code (e.g. COUPON20) or several unique codes (e.g. abc1234, DEF5678, etc.) 

  • Required coupon value (either percentage amount, e.g. 10%, or a total amount in your respective currency, e.g. RM20)

  • The number of times each coupon code can be redeemed

  • Expiry date after which your code would be invalid

Our team will process your request within 1-3 business days. Please submit your enquiry as early as possible. The coupon code(s) will be sent to you in a reply email, and you can pass them to your users later so they can use them upon checkout when booking your service on Mereka Connect.

Mereka Coupons

A Mereka Coupon refers to any discount or voucher code provided to your Hub and sponsored by the Mereka Connect team. The aim of our platform is to create a conducive environment for both Hubs and users to thrive and succeed. This is why our team often provides sponsorship in the form of Mereka Coupons as part of our own marketing efforts and long-term Hub partnership strategy!

The exact number of Mereka Coupons, their value and eligibility for a particular service (Experience or Space) is at the sole discretion of the Mereka Connect team. However, there is always a possibility to adjust the amount and value upon further discussion. Your Hub would be informed in the event of being qualified for receiving Mereka Coupons via email, WhatsApp or phone (depending on your preferred means of communication).


The Mereka Connect team would generate the coupons via Stripe and pass them over to your Hub. Users would then be able to use these coupons upon checkout when booking your respective service. For further enquiries about Mereka Coupons, please contact us via [email protected].

How to keep track of coupons?

You can always see an overview of coupon usage at the very top of the "Transactions" page in your Hub dashboard.

There is also a dedicated section for coupons in the “Money Movement” table on the "Transactions'' page. Here you may review all transactions that utilized coupons, along with their value. 

How to claim the coupon value?


It is only possible to claim the value of Mereka Coupons, as the value of Hub Coupons is always absorbed by the Hub.

There is no action required from the Hub to claim the Mereka Coupon value. The respective amount would be transferred to your account in bulk with other pending proceeds after the Guarantee Period and would be reflected in the "Sales" tab accordingly. The transactions yet to be reimbursed would be shown under the yellow “In Escrow” status, while the already transferred amounts would be displayed under the green "Hub Claimed" status.

What happens to the coupon value if my Experience or Space is canceled?

In case of a Hub-initiated cancellation, you as a Hub would absorb the value of a coupon, its type notwithstanding. Please refer to our cancellation policy for Hubs to learn more about the refund amount you are responsible for providing to users.


In case of a user-initiated cancellation, the coupon value would be excluded from the total refund amount, and the user would be refunded only the amount (or its portion, depending on the cancellation timeline) they actually paid. Mereka Connect is not responsible for the reimbursement of the Mereka Coupon value unless the cancellation took place due to our team's fault. Please refer to our cancellation policy for users to understand more about the refund amount depending on the cancellation timeline.
